THE MISSION

Project Silverback, at gross weight and standard day conditions that include acceptable wind levels upon launch the vehicle carrying a payload of no less than 8.8 pounds shall have a powered ascent to reach an apogee of 10,000 ft AGL (+/-500 ft), deploy a drogue parachute at apogee to bring the descent rate of the vehicle to 75-150 ft/s with all sections attached, and will then deploy the main parachute at an altitude no higher than 1500 ft to slow the descent rate to a maximum of 30 ft/sand be recovered in a re-flyable condition.
